LAZZARO is made to the same body grades and test standards as the leading British and European tableware houses: authentic BS 5416 fine bone china at more than 45% bone ash, and alumina-vitrified porcelain in the class the UK market calls fine china. The difference is that we make it ourselves, from raw material to final inspection, in factories we own. There is no licensing, no third-party plant and no distributor between the kiln and your quotation — which is why a LAZZARO programme is specified like the best and priced for the whole property.

Authentic bone china carries the BS 5416 mark and a bone-ash content well above the 30% threshold. LAZZARO is made at more than 45%, which is where the warmth, translucency and strength of the body come from.
The premium UK hotelware houses sell this grade under names such as alumina vitrified and fine china. It is a different material from the standard porcelain sold by volume brands, and it is the grade LAZZARO makes.
